At the top of every page you will find a search box. It functions the same as every other search box on the internet except it doesn't record your secret requests to exploit you in the future.
There are many ways to organize notes. But Tap encourages capturing notes quickly to minimize lost notes. Capturing quickly and organizing well are concepts at odds with each other.
Search is the only realistic solution to help reconcile this conflict. If in the process of capturing a note you use a new tag or a variation of an existing tag or folder, search will help you find that note when it doesn't appear where you expect it to be.
At Tap we try to support both real and imagined human behavior. In some cases the real imposes itself in absolute and unassailable ways. Humans can't maintain an immutable mental index of their notes. Alas, we depend on search.
Long live search!
